The services were inaccessible for about six hours, causing widespread inconvenience among millions of users. The outage was not limited to just these platforms; WhatsApp and Messenger, also owned by Facebook, were affected as well.
The outage was reported on Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outages, where user reports indicated significant problems with these platforms. However, the exact cause of the outage was not immediately clear.
